The client is a private inventor and keen gardener. The design brief was to design a water sprinkler that could be used in conjunction with others of their type placed in series in a hosepipe. Each sprinkler could be set to sprinkle for any time from a few seconds to an hour depending on the needs of its area of garden. Once the first sprinkler had completed its time it switched itself off and diverted the water to the next sprinkler. Two concepts were proposed and neither required any batteries or electronics. Both concepts were developed to fully working prototypes ready to demonstrate to potential investors. The client is currently looking for a route to market and I will gladly pass on any contacts from interested parties.
