The launch of the new website and corporate identity


Hillside Product Design Limited have launched their new website and revealed their new corporate identity.  

Our new changes
In addition to featuring the refreshed branding, the website now has a new structure which makes information easier to find. It offers visitors a richer insight into the company’s integrated services and shows off their extensive portfolio of experience. The site also helps the user to access essential information about its work culture, experience, and services with a ‘Help me to’ drop-down of frequently asked questions. 

The completely re-vamped website was designed in-house to demonstrate the company’s creative abilities and satisfy its desire for a truly unique site. Chris Howsam, Director explained, “as a creative led business, in the service sector, we recognised that we needed to have an emphasis on strong images, functionality and no nonsense keywords such as, product design consultancy, concept to market-ready and product development. The old saying of doing what it says on the tin applies more and more in a market place that is muddled up by made up marketing words and phrases. We wanted to cut-out the waffle.”

New developments
The enhanced content focusses on communicating the company’s mission for its clients to achieve business success with innovative products addressing the key factors of performance, reliability, cost and aesthetics. Hillside encourage a flexible and open relationship based on mutual confidentiality, straight talking, hard listening and deep thinking. 

In order to make a strong company into a great company, in the past six months Hillside Product Design have implemented far reaching operational procedures including disaster recovery, IT strategy, cyber security, financial structures, health & safety, HR and staff policy reviews.  They are currently taking advantage of a local business Action Coach (Steve Gaskell) and strengthening the team through leadership training. These procedures all contribute to the continuing growth and the uninterrupted robustness of the company.

Commenting on the new corporate logo, Chris explained that “we did not want to move too far from our existing logo, but wanted to introduce a new abstract symbol to represent the development and growth of Hillside Product Design. It is designed to depict our geographical location, with the sun, hills, valleys and sea in order to reflect the vibrant, creative, dynamic and positive feel of the area and the business”. 

Our goal
Hillside Product Design's goal is to deliver first-class design by using a holistic, open, and collaborative approach with the client.  This proven strategy provides businesses with the greatest benefit from their product design projects. 

A perfect example of this is the Xyloband concert wristband for Coldplay’s current world tour. The project went from the initial briefing to over 2 million production units in under 6 months. Coupled with this, two of Hillside’s clients have won coveted business awards lately. Van Guard, based in Exeter, who produce a range of van accessories, have been working with Hillside since 2007. The second client was Lockabox, of Kingsbridge in Devon who brought their product to market in the last year.
