Julie Braves the Shave

Julie West raises over £1200 for Macmillan Cancer Support

SHARING:

We’re so proud of our friend Julie West who braved the shave in aid of two very good causes last Saturday (23rd November). To date Julie has raised over £1200 for Macmillan Cancer Support and now her hair has been shaved, it’s been donated to the Little Princess Trust to be made in to wigs for children and young adult cancer patients.

Julie is the Store Manager of Peacocks in our hometown of Teignmouth and daringly sat in the shop window of the store for all passers-by to see, when the shave took place. It was also the Christmas Light Switch On in the town so there were plenty of onlookers!

Hillside Product Design’s (HPDL) Business Manager Louise Beard, who has known Julie for many years, was on hand to assist with a collection bucket and HPDL Director Chris Howsam generously donated £100 from his company.

If you’d like to show your support for Julie and these two great causes, visit her JustGiving page: Julie's Brave the Shave or if you are local to the Teignmouth area, pop in to the Peacocks store in the town centre where you will find a collection bucket.

Well done Julie!
