International Dog Day

Dogs are an important part of Hillside Product Design. For International Dog Day we'd like to tell you more about our furry team members

SHARING:

We're celebrating International Dog Day today. Dogs are an important part of our Product Design Consultancy business so today seems like the perfect time to meet them and tell you a bit more about their important roles within the team

Gadget – Director of Wellbeing & Happiness

5 year old Collie Gadget took over the position as 'Director of Wellbeing & Happiness' from his older brother Gizmo, who sadly passed away in September 2020. Although, since he arrived as a Puppy Apprentice, he’s definitely been the boss! Gadget can be found in the office every day, and is a fundamental and popular part of the Hillside Design team. He is the first team member to greet anyone who pays us a visit. His ‘desk’ is located by the window so he can keep an eye out for any visitors. Gadget's 'expertise' also comes in handy occassionally when developing new products for our clients.

When not in the office, Gadget enjoys walks on the beach with his owner, Hillside's Company Director Chris, and swimming. Whether it’s the sea, the river or a muddy puddle, he’ll find it and have a splashing time!

Ned – Wellbeing Assistant

5 year old Cockapoo Ned, is a more recent addition to our four-legged team. He’s Hillside’s part- time Wellbeing Assistant and really enjoys his days in the office. Like Gadget, Ned has great interpersonal skills and loves to be part of everything going on at Hillside Design. Lunchtime is his favourite time of the day, because he might be lucky enough to get a treat or two!

When not in the office, Ned enjoys walks with his owner, Hillside's Marketing Manager Holly, and chasing anything… a ball, a cat, a bird, a plastic bag. You name it, he’ll chase it!

The HPDL office is based only a stone's throw from a huge, beautiful beach at Teignmouth in Devon. The nature of our work as Product Designers means that we often need to take a break away from the computer screens and what better way to do this than by taking the dogs out for a quick walk to clear the head and see things differently.

We feel very lucky to live and work where we do and be able to share it all with our faithful, four-legged colleagues.

Let's create something great together
