Over the years we have met with many private inventors and entrepreneurs who have experienced that ‘light bulb moment’ where an idea for a product to solve a problem comes to them. In this instance our client is a keen motorhome owner who had been attempting to fix a leaking window for several seasons before the idea for his new product came to him.
After spending a lot of money with professional leak fixing companies to little effect, our client fixed an overhanging deflector above the window and finally the problem was solved! With nothing similar currently on the market, our client saw a new product opportunity for a retrofittable weather deflector and applied for and was granted a patent.
Hillside was asked to design the deflector, which could be fitted by a person with average DIY skills to the side walls of caravans, motorhomes, boats and other mobile structures including portacabins and park homes.
