The client was a large exhibition designer with a commission to install a series of exhibits detailing various energy sources and their pros and cons on a local, national and global scale. The brief was to research, design and build and install a 'live' walk-around display detailing a generic hydroelectric project and its impact on the surrounding area.
Viewers see a realistic water effect tumbling out of the sluices and flowing down stream. This was achieved using custom designed fibre optics and a mechanical shimmer projector. The display was constructed in relief using foam and resin over wood and wire, and hand finished.
