Vehicle Patch Connector

The client has gained a reputation as one of the leading vehicle diagnostics software and hardware developers, servicing some of the leading Garage Equipment suppliers. As vehicle systems continue to evolve there is a constant demand for adaptors which enable equipment to be compatible with those new systems. 

The client was developing a new patch connector and required a design for a tough snap together housing which would survive the rugged environment found in large vehicle workshops. 

Hillside Product Design liaised closely with the clients own electronics design team to develop an enclosure which would fit within vehicle imposed tight volume constraints. The final design was developed as a prototype and tested to ensure ease of assembly and robustness.  

We arranged manufacture of the parts from 3D CAD data and 2D control drawings with full support for the client up to signing off.
