Ceiling Suspended Speaker

The client is a manufacturer of amplifier and speaker products. Having developed a design for a ceiling suspended speaker unit the client wished to cost engineer the product to reduce the part and assembly costs.

After analysis of the existing design and the required costs and expected sales forecasts, Hillside Product Design prepared a proposal for a more economical manufacturing option with improved assembly costs and supported this with manufacturer’s quotations. Parts were manufactured directly from CAD data and control drawings with full support for the toolmakers up to signing off.
