This client had invented a concept for a tool to help remove spilt liquids from carpets and rugs. They wanted to turn the idea into a 3D design that could be prototyped and costed to allow them to demonstrate it to prospective investors.
The client provided a prototype based on a plastic kitchen ladle along with a clamshell to be used as physical and aesthetic reference points. We used these to develop the design of the scoop which was then prototyped using our in-house 3D printer and hand finished. We also obtained competitive manufacturing costs for the design. The client is actively looking for additional investors.
