Threaded Rebar Caps

The client is a UK manufacturer and supplier of concrete reinforcement solutions. The brief was to create a range of moulded plastic caps that would protect the threaded recess of rebar connection points. These connection points were to be protected from damage during transport and concrete prevented from entering the threaded recess. The caps had to fit a wide range of sizes and be resistant to impact. 3D CAD data and 2D control drawings were issued to the client’s preferred injection moulding supplier for production.
