Children's Safe Hurdles

This product is a toy for children based on the idea of hurdles or horse jumps. The product consists of two vertical poles with a horizontal beam positioned between them. The client needed a plastic moulding that could be clipped to the vertical poles at any height and hold the horizontal beam in shallow cups that would allow the beam to roll off safely if the child failed to clear it.

Hillside Product Design created the design as a 3D model which was then 3D printed as a small batch to be tested by the client. Hillside maintained a close liaison with the toolmaker/moulder during tool design, build and trials through to full production.
