Roller Dispenser

The client has developed an innovative system for preventing mess during chimney sweeping by sealing the fireplace with an adhesive film. The film is dispensed from a large dispenser which required custom injection moulded end cap and roller components.

After a briefing from the client, Hillside Product Design were able to develop a design in CAD in under a week, using 3D printing to review the design with the client. The client was keen for the product to be entirely Made in Britain, so the design was tooled with a UK based toolmaker, and is now being moulded in the UK in durable ABS plastic.

The design of the end caps features scalloped grip features to make application comfortable, and a clip mechanism enables quick change-out of the proprietary film rolls.
