Caravan Audible Leveller

The client is one of the UK's largest manufacturers of bespoke alarms for caravans and boats. Many of their customers had asked if they could adapt the unhitch tilt switch and audible warning in their alarm to be used to adjust the level of the caravan when on site. Although this was not possible the client could see a market opportunity for a stand-alone audible leveller which would allow the user to set the caravan level.

The client had already developed a very simple and robust pendulum circuit and required a cosmetic enclosure and frictionless pendulum. Hillside Design developed a low cost pendulum with a ball bearing hub and after extensive testing incorporated this into an enclosure.

The product included a back-up spirit level for those rare occasions when the battery might fail and to give the user confirmation that the product was within calibration.
