Quick Release Wheel Lock

Product Brief
Owners of cycles tend to secure them against theft when they park them but thieves often steal accessories off bikes. Quick release wheels are often stolen because the owner fails to include them in their security regime and this results in inconvenience and cost to the owner. 

Mechanical Solution
The client is an engineer and enthusiastic cyclist and he used this knowledge to invent a quick release lever padlock which could be secured onto quick release levers preventing their unlocking. 

The client approached Hillside Design to develop the design as 3D CAD and to produce working prototypes suitable for field testing and promotion. We manufactured a batch of ten working quick release lever locks.
