The client is a long established manufacturer of electric fencing products. Hillside Product Design was commissioned to design an energiser unit for electrifying fences and liaise with the clients own electronic designer to ensure that the mechanical design and electronic design were resolved simultaneously.
The design was developed from sketches into 3D CAD and field tested as rapid prototypes. Parts were manufactured from 3D CAD data and 2D control drawings with full support for the toolmakers up to signing off.
