We needed to add ducting to a new machine but the machine had very little clearance behind it for the hose supplied. The answer was to design and 3D print a custom hose coupling. We took the opportunity to make the coupling in two parts to facilitate regular cleaning. One part connecting to the machine and the other carrying the hose. The two parts are secured together by magnets and this allows the coupling to be easily separated. A tricky problem sorted in a couple of days.
