Using solo and group techniques, Hillside Product Design's  collective creativity is used to generate a range of solutions to the brief. These are reviewed with the client to highlight elements which address the user and the client’s needs and wants, ensuring that the best solutions are developed further.

Once we've understood the context and what the product must do, we can begin creating sketches and models which explore form and styling. An existing product can be brought up to date with the latest styling and technology to give it a new lease of life.

Our CAD capability enables us to create virtual components and assemblies which can be analysed and optimised for performance and manufacturing prior to the production of physical parts.

Prior to prototyping and manufacture we can use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Mouldflow Analysis to ensure that parts are robust and efficient in their use of materials, as well as being optimised for production processes.

With over 50 years of experience of a huge range of prototyping techniques, we can produce prototypes which range from basic blocks to facsimiles of the real thing. This enables testing of the product design, marketing activities, and consumer feedback before you commit to production.

CAD models can be used to create photo-realistic images, which can be used for marketing, customer research and design registration. Renders can be virtually manipulated and placed in situ to help you visualize your product and make informed decisions before prototyping.
