The client is a well-known toy maker for many of the brand toy names. The brief was to design a football training cone that would stack four deep and pack into a specified carton with a regulation size football.
The overall size was calculated using interference detection in 3D CAD and the resulting volume split into four stacking voids. This was then developed into a 3D CAD model of a cone. The component design was issued as CAD data with an accompanying 2D control drawing.
